THE ZIMBABWE basketball national team has a bright chance of progressing from the preliminary stage of the Afrobasket group E tournament that starts in Harare today.
South Africa are out while Comoros did not confirm participation, leaving only the hosts, Madagascar and Zambia.
Zimbabwe will face Madagascar in the tournament’s opener on Tuesday at 6pm at the City Sports Centre.
The hosts’ second match will be against Zambia on Wednesday.
Each team will play twice against each opponent for the tournament which ends on January 26.
