Finance and Economic Development minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube attended the weekly cabinet meeting in Harare on Tuesday.
This was revealed by Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services minister, Monica Mutsvangwa during a post cabinet briefing.
This follows reports that he had been in contact with the late journalist, Zororo Makamba who succumbed to the coronavirus on Monday.
“We have identified the individuals who met with Zororo Makamba and they have been quarantined. As for the Finance Minister, we were with him at the Cabinet meeting,” she said.
Meanwhile, President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced an eleven-member taskforce to explore ways to deal with the virus.
The taskforce is chaired by Health and Child Care minister, Dr Obadiah Moyo.
