The Zimbabwe Warriors will start their 10-day camp today (Monday), in preparation for the upcoming African Nations Championship finals.
The local ensemble of the Warriors was tentatively expected to start camp yesterday but there have since been some logistical changes.
Coach Zdravko Logarusic will start working with the players tomorrow (Tuesday), the first time he will be in charge of the national team training since his appointment as national coach early this year.
Zimbabwe Football Association acting Chief Executive Officer Xolisani Gwesela said the camp is aimed at helping Logarusic build his team.
“We are expecting all players called to be in camp today to start training for the CHAN finals. They will start training tomorrow (Tuesday),” said Gwesela.
Logarusic has, however, said his squad is not cast in stone and some players who are not on the initial provisional squad will be allowed to join camp at the discretion of the coach.
The Croat will have a chance to watch some few local games before announcing the final team that he will take to Cameroon for April’s finals.
