Zimbabwe’s capital city, Harare, will soon have a new mayor.
Lawyer and MDC Alliance Councillor Jacob Mafume and Councillor Luckson Mukunguma are the front-runners in an election whose outcome will be known later on Thursday.
The post became vacant after incumbent Councillor Herbert Gomba was recalled by MDC Alliance, alongside nine other councillors.
Councillor Gomba had been linked to irregular residential stand allocations.
