Zimbabwe Cricket captain Chamu Chibhabha is confident they can beat Pakistan in their limited overs series starting next week.
Records will show Pakistan as favourites to clinch both the three-match ODI series and three T20 Internationals.
Zimbabwe have beaten Pakistan only four times in 59 ODI meetings since 1992.
In 11 T20 Internationals, Zimbabwe have lost all.
Will records change when the two teams meet in ODIs scheduled for October 30, November 1 and 3 which will be followed by three T20 Internationals on November 7, 8 and 10?
Chibhabha believes statistics can be changed.
Zimbabwe’s last ODI win over Pakistan was in October 2015 in Harare.
Pakistan last played in August when they toured England for three Tests, three ODIs and three T20s.
Zimbabwe’s latest match was against Bangladesh in March.
However, both squads have been involved in some domestic cricket as Zimbabwe players got some game time in the National Premier League. In Pakistan the National T20 Cup ended on Sunday, October 18.
Meanwhile, Pakistan have named their 22-member squad for the visit by Zimbabwe.
The big names missing in the squad include former captains Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik. Left arm pace man Mohammad Amir will also miss out.
A strong performance in the National T20 Cup has earned 20-year old Abdullah Shafique a call up.
