The search for a missing Zimparks ranger entered the fifth day today (Wednesday) with the Airforce of Zimbabwe joining the search party.

Authorities in Zimbabwe said they are “desperately searching for him”.

ZimParks Spokesperson Tinashe Farawo said, “Yesterday (Tuesday) the Airforce of Zimbabwe gave us another helicopter, two pilots and a technician”.

He added, “We are still on the ground looking for our missing colleague and we hope to see him very soon”.

The ranger went missing at the weekend after a plane crash in the Zambezi valley.

The aircraft crashed when parks officers, two Zimbabweans and two South Africans, were on a game survey around the manna pools area.

One person died and two others survived.
