Repatriation of Zimbabweans for burial will continue under strict health protocols to avoid the risk of new Covid-19 infections, a senior Government official said today.
Ministry of Health and Child Care’s Director of Environmental Health, Victor Nyamande said all precautions were being taken to save more lives.
He said although the movement of bodies for burials internally had been reviewed, Zimbabweans who die outside the country will be repatriated, but subjected to a rigorous process.
An average of 60 bodies are repatriated by road through Beitbridge Border Post from South Africa weekly.
