Three people were swept away on Wednesday while trying to cross a flooded river in the Midlands using a makeshift canoe.
The three were heading to work when their “canoe” capsized midstream.
Police said the bodies were retrieved and their next of kin notified.
Robert Mapfumo (30), Calisto Ruvazhe (32) and Kenneth Paraffin (33) were all from Mhondoro.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said, “We are investigating a case where 3 people who tried to cross Munyathi River (were swept away).”
