ZIMBABWE Football Association have confirmed that efforts are underway to ensure Lyon striker Tino Kadewere and Stade de Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi are available for the Zambia tie.
Conditions for the two players to travel are that they must fly private after national duty, back to France.
And with the two players failing to get guarantees on Monday, it means they are now ruled out of the AFCON qualifier against Botswana on Thursday as revealed by ZTN.
“We have engaged the Mozambique Football Federation, who have in principle agreed to assist us to transport the players back to France after the qualifiers.
“They might not be available against Botswana but could be here against Zambia,” Zifa spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela said.
Zimbabwe face Botswana and then Zambia on Monday.
