Police in Zimbabwe have finally found the skull of seven-year-old Tapiwa Makore who was murdered for suspected ritual purposes in 2020.

Investigators could not immediately provide full details, but it emerged on Wednesday that DNA samples from Tapiwa’s torso and the skull matched.

Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said: “Communication has been made with the late Tapiwa Makore’s family in connection with the DNA results which were conducted by AIBST DNA Testing Centre and the National University of Science and Technology.

“The results showed that the jaw, tooth and limb were a direct match to the torso.”
