YOUNG Zimbabwean cricketer Tawanda Muyeye has signed a three-year-deal with County Cricket side, Kent.
According to the publication, The Cricketer, Kent director of cricket Paul Downton is happy to have sealed the deal.
“We are really excited that Tawanda has agreed to join us at Kent. He had several offers from other counties and was in high demand,” Downton was quoted as saying.
In an interview with ZTN last year, Muyeye revealed that he was all about taking one step at a time as he progresses in his career.
This was after the 20-year-old had won the Wisden Schools Cricketer of the Year.
Muyeye, who was born in Zimbabwe and captained the Under 13, and Under 16 national teams, appears to be still pondering over whether to represent Zimbabwe or England in international cricket.
