Today is the penultimate day of the week long Bulawayo Arts Festival (BAF) which started on Tuesday. The festival was officially opened by President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Thursday.

The second edition of the arts fest is being held virtually due to Covid-19 containment regulations.

Harare based Afro-fusion band, The Travellers who performed at the festival earlier in the week said they had an experience of a lifetime in the City of Kings and Queens.

“This year’s BAF is a lot of fun, we had an experience of a lifetime and the people were lovely,” said their spokesperson Abel Munongi.

“Considering that we are under lockdown we enjoyed every moment, the stage, the sound and the lighting were perfect’ he added.

This year’s festival will see performances from Mzoe 7, Novuyo Seagirl, Holy Ten, Poptain, Mwenje Mathole, Asaph, Doc Vikela, and Fusion 5 Mangwiro, among others. The festival runs until Saturday.
