Teacher Arrested For Assaulting Student

The Zimbabwe republic police has confirmed the arrest of Michael Chingwaru (39), a Maths teacher from Harare Einstein Tuition Centre. On Thursday, a video of Chingwaru assaulting one of his pupils went viral across social media platforms.

The incident happened on Tuesday at 1030hrs.

According to the police, the 18 year old pupil was found watching movies during lesson time and ordered to go back to class but went to a different classroom.

Chingwari then encountered the pupil and they reportedly exchanged harsh words which then prompted him to assault the student.

Chingwari is currently in police custody.
