NEWLY appointed Zimbabwe national senior men’s national soccer team Croatian Zdravko Logarušić is excited by his new challenge.

The 54-year-old was appointed the Warriors coach on a two-year contract, and his immediate challenge is to oversee Afcon qualifiers.

He took to Twitter to express his feelings.

“Happy for this new challenge, Lets go Warriors!” posted Logarušić.

The Croatian has little success in football management at a high level and his appointment appears to be a very big gamble by Zimbabwe.

He however has proven assistants in Joey Antipas, Lloyd Chitembwe, and Tonderai Ndiraya. Parnell McKop will come into the set-up as the goalkeepers’ coach.
