THE unveiling of Knowledge Musona in Saudi Arabia for Al Tai Football Club this week could be a signal Zimbabwe’s Warriors are now in urgent need of another talisman.
Musona, who is captain of the national team and top scorer among the current generation, has been by far the best player for his country.
But his move away from Belgium where he was contracted to giants Anderlecht is clear indication his best could now be in the past.
Of late, striker Tino Kadewere has promised much, but the Lyon striker is yet to impose himself as the Warriors new talisman.
The biggest question is; will Tino even achieve half of what Musona has achieved for Zimbabwe or will there be any player to take up the responsibility?
With Musona, the Warriors have qualified for three Afcon finals and have been a dominant force in the region. With his new club Al Tai, just promoted to the Suadi Arabian top-flight, chances are that lack of more competitive matches will only fast-forward the end of a great warrior.
