ZIMBABWE’S power situation remains fragile, said the country’s power utility as it announced that it will now be implementing a pro-longed 18-hour load shedding programme.
The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority revealed that a fault at Hwange Power Station has forced it to implement Stage 2 load shedding.
“While all efforts are being made to improve the power supply availability through imports, the supply situation remains fragile.
“Customers are advised to use the available power very sparingly and will be updated as the situation improves. The inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted,” said the power supplier.
