Zimbabwe Under 20 women’s football team coach Rosemary Mugadza is confident her players will be up to the task when they face Malawi in a World Cup qualifying match on Sunday.

Mugadza was hitting some positive notes as the team prepared to leave for Malawi yesterday.

“The girls were working very hard and I’m happy with their performance so far. They are relaxed and the team unity is very strong. I hope we will get a positive result for all our efforts,” said Mugadza.

In an interview with ZTN Sport, goalkeeper Cynthia Shonga concurred with her coach.

 “Malawi is not new to us we played Malawi in the Sub Zonal 5 tournament and we won 1-nill so we are not afraid,” she said.
