The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority has dampened the hopes and spirits of local football lovers. The power utility says it cannot guarantee power supply during the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.

Zesa Public Relations Manager Fullard Gwasira speaks to ZTN News.

Zimbabwe faces Egypt in the opening match of the tournament in Cairo on Friday. The match kicks off at 9pm (Central African Time).

With Zimbabweans facing serious load shedding, sometimes lasting for as long as 15 hours, most Zimbabweans may fail to watch their team in action. In most residential areas, power is switched off at 6am and is often restored around midnight.
