THE Zimbabwe Football Association has appointed Croatian Zdravko Logarušić as the national football team coach.

Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas, who led the team on an interim basis last year, will be assistant to the coach who has signed a two-year-deal.

Harare City coach Lloyd Chitembwe will be the second assistant while Dynamos gaffer Tonderai Ndiraya will also be part of the set-up by virtue of being Under 23 coach. Parnell McKop is the goalkeepers coach.

“He will be overseeing all national teams from the junior national teams right to the senior team, he will start work in two weeks’ time.

“He has experience of working in different continents, and the target we want as Zifa is to play in every Afcon final,” Zifa president Felton Kamambo said on Wednesday.

The Croatian coach has previously led Sudan to the semi-finals of the African Nations Championships.

The 54-year-old has also coached different clubs in Africa.
