THE ZIMBABWE Chevrons have lost the five-match series to Ireland after defeat in the fourth T20I, allowing the hosts to take a 3-1 lead.

On Thursday Ireland set 174 for the loss of 4 wickets, but Zimbabwe could only manage 110 in their 20 overs, losing by 64 runs in the process.

Final match is tomorrow (Saturday).

Wellington Masakadza said the last T20I will be important for them “to gain momentum ahead of the crucial three ODIs” against the same opponent.

Zimbabwe have 10 points in the Super league as they push for a World Cup qualification.

They got 10 points from one win over Pakistan whilst they lost the other two. Earlier they had lost all three against Bangladesh.
