Zim Coronavirus “patient” tests negative

The 27-year-old Zimbabwean who was suspected to have been infected by the Coronavirus has tested negative of the disease.

Authorities in Harare said the woman will be discharged on Wednesday night from Wilkins Hospital in Harare, where she had been quarantined.

“Health Services Director Dr Propsper Chonzi has confirmed that tests proved she was negative. Her parents visited her today. She is expected to be discharged any time from this evening,” reads a statement by Harare City Council, who run Wilkins Hospital.

The 27-year-old woman, whose identity is not yet known arrived at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport from China aboard Ethiopian Airlines on Tuesday.

She had been to Wuhan but when she travelled to Zimbabwe she was coming from Guangzhong.
