Zimdancehall Musician, Silent Killer Arrested

Dancehall artiste Silent Killer, whose real name is Jimu Muderi, has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted and injured Tinashe Kamudyariranwa who is the young brother of music producer DJ Fantan.

Harare province police spokesperson, Inspector Tendai Mwanza confirmed the arrest to ZTN and implored members of the public to shun violence at all costs.

“One Jimu Mudereri (Silent Killer) 30 and two others have since been arrested on assault charges. One of the accomplices is still at large and police are making efforts to arrest him. Investigations are underway to establish what actually transpired. Jimu Mudereri is detained at ZRP Stodart,” said Inspector Mwanza.

According to police, on Wednesday DJ Fantan whose real name is Arnold Kamudyariwa received a call from an informer that his younger brother, Tinashe Kamudyariwa (30) had been assaulted.

Fantan then proceeded to ZRP Stodart where he made a report. Police attended the scene and it was established that Tinashe had a deep cut on his forehead and was bleeding. He was rushed to Sally Mugabe Hospital where he is receiving medical assistance.

“We condemn violence and people should never use violence as a tool to settle any misunderstanding. Those who engage in violence will be arrested,” Inspector Mwanza said.
