Zim going ahead with cyber security legislation

Zimbabwe is on its way to establish legislation on cyber security, according the country’s Minister for Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Kazembe Kazembe.
In a question an answer segment of the launch breakfast meeting for Cyber Security Awareness Month in the capital Harare, Minister Kazembe said the three long awaited cyber security bills have now been combined into one. He said the draft will be sent to the cabinet committee for legislation on Thursday before it is discussed in cabinet.
Since 2017, Zimbabwe has had three bills to do with cyber security which have been amended several times.
Zimbabwe is commemorating Cyber Security Awareness Month with programmes being spearheaded by the country’s Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Ministry.
