ZIMBABWE Professional Golfers are pushing for a return of the game in the country as part of the recovery phase in the face of Covid-19.
Association president Gary Thompson says they have engaged a medical consultant, in a partnership arrangement, to help them implement the restart.
The move comes at a time when the government is also pushing for the return of football, which is a much riskier sport.
With the Sunshine Tour having already made inroads by organising tournaments for the return of golf in South Africa, Zimbabwe must move fast.
ZPGA president Thompson said they are set to partner a local company “Asclepius Medical for a safe return”, and possibly organise a competition to test the waters.
