ZIMBABWE are in trouble against Sri Lanka. The hosts lost three crucial wickets in their second innings on day 5 of their test match against Sri
Lanka at Harare Sports Club.
Brian Mudzinganyama and Prince Masvaure were all gone before 11 am, with the hosts still trailing. Sri Lanka had posted 515 in their first innings and Zimbabwe started day five trailing by 127 runs.
Mudzinganyama had replaced Kevin Kasuza who suffered a “delayed concussion” and was ruled out of the first of the two test matches.
Zimbabwe posted 358 in their first innings before Sri Lanka, inspired by Angelo Mathews’ double century, posted the high total.
Mathews batted for ten hours as Zimbabwe failed to get crucial wickets out early on day four.
