Zim leader appoints new Coronavirus response drivers

Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa has assigned his deputies to oversee the country’s Coronavirus response.
Vice-Presidents Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi will superintend a special taskforce comprising 11 Cabinet ministers, and will be deputised by Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri.
Before this, Health and Child Care Minister Dr Obadiah Moyo chaired the taskforce.
Secretary for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Nick Mangwana tweeted on Friday: “In view of the seriousness of what faces the nation, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has now assigned the chairmanship of Covid-19 Taskforce to the Vice-Presidency, deputised by the Minister of Defence.”
