Zim leader outlines schools re-opening plan

Zimbabwe’s Covid-19 lockdown will continue indefinitely, and will be reviewed fortnightly.
The extension, announced by the country’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Saturday, will see businesses operate from 8am to 4:30pm and public exam classes continue.
Workers are required to undergo regular medical checks, while Zimbabwe United Passenger Company buses are to be the sole public transport vehicles on the roads.
President Mnangagwa said, “…public exam classes within schools and final-year students at colleges and universities must be allowed to continue recognising, however, the stipulated Covid-19 prevention measures. Meanwhile, clear plans of the phased re-opening of schools must continue to be put in place”.
