Zim minister to spend second night in custody

Zimbabwe’s Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Prisca Mupfumira, who is facing corruption charges involving close to USD$95 million, is set to spend another night in police custody.

This is after Harare Magistrate, Munamato Mutevedzi decided to make a ruling on the state’s application to detain the minister for a further 21 days tomorrow morning.

Minister Mupfumira was arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC) on Thursday.

She is being represented by Harare lawyer, Charles Chinyama while the state is led by prosecutor, Michael Reza.
