ORGANISERS of the Castle Lager Soccer Stars of the Year Awards will utilise an online voting system this year, a shift from the traditional gatherings.

The same system will be used for the monthly awards next year.

“The system design ensures that there is security of the data as well as the capability for the data to be made public as is the usual case after the winner has been announced,” it was concluded.

Selection will take place on November 27 while the Awards will take place on December 6.

The PSL log sponsors also resolved that the Castle Challenge, which was the last match of the season, will now be a season opener instead.

The change, they said, was a result of fixture congestion, hence the decision to push the match to March 2020.
