Zim students in Ukraine safe, says government

Government has announced that it is closely following developments in Ukraine, with a view to making arrangements for the safety of Zimbabwean students in that country.

The Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ministry posted on its Twitter handle that it is already in
touch with most Zimbabwean students in Ukraine.

“The Government wishes to assure its citizens that it is seized with the developments in Ukraine. Our Embassy in Germany is already in touch with most of our students in Ukraine and is currently working towards assisting its nationals based in that country,” read the tweet.

The tweet also said those who are yet to contact the embassy should do so on the number: +4903023255676 or on email: [email protected].

The announcement follows the recent invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
