Zimbabwe footballer wins Copa Coca-Cola player of the tournament

Despite losing the Copa Coca-Cola final to Tanzania on Thursday afternoon, Zimbabwean players have caught the eye of international scouts at the continental tournament.

Luke Musikiri emerged as one of the best performers at the finals after he was voted 2019 COPA Coca-Cola player of the tournament.

There were a number of scouts from Europe in Kenya who had come to recruit the next generation of talented African players.

Reports from the Zimbabwean camp in Kenya suggest that there are several scouts who have inquired about Zimbabwean players including Musikiri, and some of the players are likely to be invited for trials.

Zimbabwe lost 2-6 to Tanzania in the final.
