Zimbabwe moves to end statelessness

Statelessness remains a human rights crisis affecting over 10 million people globally. According to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, stateless people do not enjoy rights in their host countries.
On Thursday, Zimbabwe’s Parliament made the first move to end statelessness for thousands of refugees living in Zimbabwe.
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Parliamentary Portfolio Committee chairperson, Kindness Paradza moved the motion in the National Assembly.
