Zim’s New Dry Port

Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa has opened the country’s dry port facility in the Namibian City of Walvis Bay.
Zimbabwe’s Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister, Dr. Sibusiso Moyo says the dry port is expected to provide a strategic and cheaper gateway to the Atlantic Ocean for Zimbabwean manufacturers and international businesses.
A dry port (also known as an inland port) is an inland intermodal terminal directly connected by road or rail to a seaport and operating as a centre for the transshipment of sea cargo to inland destinations.
