Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa will set up a Commission of Inquiry to investigate corruption allegations levelled against top Zanu-PF officials and other public figures.

On Monday, Zanu-PF Youth League Deputy Secretary Mr Lewis Matutu released names of prominent individuals he claimed were behind massive graft.

The officials are yet to respond to the allegations publicly.
Addressing the media after a Zanu-PF Politburo meeting in Harare on Wednesday, party spokesperson Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo said:

“Whilst the youth may not have followed procedure, there is need to denounce corruption at all levels. (The youth) were warned and have since apologised. The Politburo unanimously agreed that a Commission of Inquiry be put together to investigate the claims.”
